Eunice Marion Willis

Eunice Marion Willis, 90, of Rogers, Ark., died peacefully Monday, April 16, 2012, at Ashley Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born March 28, 1922, in Mt. Clemens, Mich., the daughter of Roy and Nellie Kidd. She married Dr. Arthur Robert Willis on June 27, 1943, in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. She graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a degree in elementary education and later earned her master's degree. Eunice taught school for many years in Illinois and Missouri and truly loved teaching her young students. She particularly enjoyed her interaction with students who had special challenges. Eunice and her late husband were members of Central United Methodist Church. She was active for many years in Bible study groups as a participant and a leader. Eunice is survived by her sons, Dr. Robert Willis (Natalie), Tulsa, Okla., David Willis, Arkoma, Okla., James Willis, Dillon, Mont.; grandchildren, Peter, Jayme, Swen, Jahn and Corey; and great-grandson, Patrick. She is predeceased by her husband; son, Peter; parents; and sister, Cheryl Brouwer. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 23, at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Chapel, 2898 W. Walnut, Rogers, Ark., with the Rev. Jim Keith officiating. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m preceding the services. Burial will be in Rushville, Ill.
