William Howard Sparkman, 84, of Springdale, Ark., formerly of Siloam Springs, died April 11, 2012, at the Maples in Springdale. Born Feb. 8, 1928, in Warren County, Tenn., he was the son of George Reed Sparkman and Maude E. Wright Sparkman. He worked in construction building new homes. He married Virginia Whitfield Ferguson on Sept. 16, 1995. Mr. Sparkman was a member of the Robinson Baptist Church, in the Robinson Community. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Tynota Sparkman; and two daughters, Deborah Ann Sparkman and Trena Cook. Survivors include his wife, Virginia of the home; three stepsons, David Kelly of Siloam Springs, Howard Ferguson and wife, Jean Anne, of Springdale and Mike Ferguson of Springdale; four stepdaughters, Connie Kelly of Siloam Springs, Vivian Bookout and husband, Ralph, of Bella Vista, Ark., Patricia Bausinger and husband, Louis, of Anderson, Mo., and JoAnne Danford and husband, Danny, of Springdale; one son-in-law, Bobby Cook of Springdale; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one stepbrother, Dee Keaton of California; one half-brother, Roy Sparkman of Tennessee; and one half-sister, Betty Howard of Tennessee. Pallbearers will be Jason Cook, Jeremy Falkner, Bobby Ferguson, Mike Ferguson, Chris Bookout and Duane Ferguson. Honorary pallbearers will be David Kelly and Bobby Cook. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, with Wes Pruitt officiating. Burial will follow at Yell Cemetery, in the Robinson Community, east of Siloam Springs. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. today, April 13, 2012, at Wasson Funeral Home.
