Wilma E. Sanders

Wilma E. Sanders, age 89, of Maize, Kan., died Saturday, April 7, 2012, in Wichita. She was born May 3, 1922, in Delaney, Ark., to Floyd and Dillie Hollingsworth Shackelford. She was a member of Harris Baptist Church in Elkins, Ark. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ray Sanders in 1997; daughter, Margie Lee Patton; son-in-law, Johnny E. Keeton; sister, Mary Shackelford; four brothers, Roy Shackelford, Wade Shackelford, Albert Shackelford and Olin Shackelford. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Keeton of Maize, Kan.; son, Bobby Sanders and his wife Donna of Wichita, Kan.; five sisters, Flora Shepherd of Wichita, Kan., Dora Jordan and her husband Nathan of Wichita, Kan., Velma Shepherd of Springdale, Ark., Floy Robbins and her husband George of Elkins, Ark., Martha Shackelford and her husband Glenn of Elkins, Ark.; brother, Carl Shackelford and his wife Carol of Clearwater, Kan.; son-in-law, Jim Patton of Wichita, Kan.; nine grandchildren; and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Harris Baptist Church in Elkins with burial at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Crosses, Ark. Memorials may be made to Harris Baptist Church, 2201 N.
