Dorothy Mae Peterson

Dorothy Mae Peterson, 89 year-old resident of Decatur, Ark., died March 31, 2012, at Circle of Life Hospice, Springdale, Ark. Born Oct. 9, 1922, in Decatur, Ark., she was the daughter of George Elmer Peterson and Harriet Ellen Beal Peterson. Dorothy was a retired accountant with Peterson Industries. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Decatur and the Decatur Alumni Association. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Charles Raymond Peterson and Lloyd Earnest Peterson. Survivors include three nieces, Dorothy Jean Yadon and Deanna Sue Lloyd, both of Muskogee, Okla., and Debra Kay Evans of Rogers, Ark. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2012, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark. Burial will follow at Decatur Cemetery, Decatur, Ark. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark.
