Ann Farris Skinner, 78, of Fayetteville, died March 30th, 2012. She was born July 20, 1933 to Raymond and Kathleen Betzner Farris. She grew up in Biscoe, Arkansas. Ann is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Jerral Vaughn Skinner Sr., her parents Raymond and Kathleen and her brother Roger Farris of Biscoe. She is survived by her three children; Jerral Vaughn Skinner Jr. and his wife Jane Ellen of Fayetteville, Sidney Lynn Skinner and his wife Patricia of Poteau, Oklahoma and Kathleen Farris Skinner Weems and her husband Teddy Lee Weems of Carlisle, Arkansas, eight grandchildren, Sarah Rachel and David Michael Skinner; Eric Farris, Charlie Russell, Madison Kathleen Rose Skinner and Allison Kelly; Lauren Chelsea and her husband Nicholas Allen McCary and Brynden Lee Weems and great grandchild Chad Ryan McCary. She loved and is much loved by her family. After graduating from DeValls Bluff High School, she graduated from Baylor University. While attending college she met her husband, Jerral who was a fighter pilot in the US Air Force and they were married in June of 1955. They lived in Clovis, New Mexico, France, Libya and several places in the United States. After 18 years in the Air Force they moved to a farm at Carlisle. While at Carlisle she received a teaching certificate from the University of Arkansas and taught adult education in Des Arc and surrounding towns. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 5, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church Fayetteville, on Friday, April 6, 2012 at 2 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Salem Cemetery in Lonoke Co. under the direction of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home.
