John J. Glick, 83, of Rogers, passed away April 2, 2012, in his home. He was born March 16, 1929, in Sugar Creek, Ohio, the son of Simon and Ida Mullet Glick. He served in the United States Marines for two years; he also was a skilled builder by trade. John and his family moved to Rogers in February 1973. He was a member of the Rogers First Church of the Nazarene and served as a missionary for four years in Brazil and was awarded two Distinguish Service Awards by the church. Preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Molly; four sisters, Alma, Naomi, Amanda and Nora. Survived by his wife, Carrie May Ives Glick of the home, they were married July 3, 1950; children, Larry Glick and wife, Sharon, of Rogers, Dena Johnson and husband, Ron, of Trophy Club, Texas, Alzenria Sheri Glick of Portland, Maine, and Katie Glick of Jay, Okla.; grandchildren, Sarah Glick, April Covington and husband, Antonio, Emily Trammell and husband, Brian, Timothy and Bradley Johnson, Deangelo and Edgar Reyes; great-grandchildren, Amber, Allen and Alicia Covington and Sadie Johnson. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Rogers First Church of the Nazarene. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
