Jason Stringer, 40, of Russellville, Ark., formerly of Bentonville, died Sunday, September 18, 2011 at his home in Russellville, Ark. The son of Melvin and Betty Stringer, he was born December 27, 1970 in Jonesboro, Ark. He was a free lance graphic designer. He attended Washington Art Institute and was a poet, artist and a computer enthusiast. He was a member of the All Saints Episcopal Church. He enjoyed hiking, social networking, reading, poetry, art history and taking care of his cats. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James Stringer; and maternal grandparents; Louie Burnett and Aletha Leona Burnett. Survivors include his father, Melvin Stringer; his mother, Betty Stringer; his brother, David Stringer; his sister, Aletha White, all of Russellville; his grandmother, Faye Stringer of Little Rock; three nephews, Michael Stringer and Jake Stringer of Russellville and Ryan Ford of Jacksonville, Fla.; three nieces, Stephanie Tucker, Regan Stringer and Gabby Stringer, all of Russellville; and numerous, uncles, aunts and cousins. Funeral will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Humphrey Funeral Service in Russellville, Ark. Pastor Johnny D. Minick will officiate.
