Shirley Ann Poorman

Mrs. Shirley Ann Poorman, age 75, of Forrest City, died Wednesday at her home in Forrest City. Her death came sudden and unexpected. Mrs. Poorman was born Nov. 17, 1935, in Clay County, Ark., and was the daughter of Prentice Fulks and Lerlene Ward Fulks. She moved back to Forrest City in 2007 from Springdale, Ark., was a homemaker, and a member of First Baptist Church in Forrest City. Mrs. Poorman married William F. Poorman in 1954, and he preceded her in death in 2004. She is survived by one daughter, Janet Brawner of Forrest City; two sons, Wade Poorman of Greenville, N.C., and Duane Poorman of Edmond, Okla., and six grandchildren; Adam Brawner, Karen Brawner, Tabitha Ann Poorman, Will Poorman, Eli Poorman, and Janie Poorman. Services for Mrs. Poorman will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 2:30 p.m., Sunday, with visitation beginning at 1:30 p.m., until the time of the service. A graveside service will be held Monday, 2 p.m., at the Bluff Cemetery in Springdale, Ark. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
