Aemilian Jerome Plugge, 81, of Scranton, died Monday, April 4, 2011. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War; he was a retired senior operator for Schlumberger Well Services and a lifelong farmer and rancher, a graduate of Hartman High School. A member of Saint Ignatius Catholic Church in Scranton. Also a member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion in Scranton, and a member of the North Logan County Farm Bureau. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Fannie Knoedel Plugge and one brother, Frank Plugge and sister-in-law, Margaret Pike Plugge. He is survived by his wife Betty Overbey Plugge, two sons, David (Lori) Plugge of Little Rock and Dan (Kimberly) Plugge of North Little Rock, two daughters, Lynn (Chris) Cain of Lakewood, Colo. and Leigh (Chris) Nogy of Lowell, Ark., one brother, Donald (Loretta) Plugge of Oklahoma City. The grandchildren are Rae Plugge, Ceilidh, Aislinn, and Cael Nogy, and Zachary Plugge. Rosary Service will be 7 p.m., Thursday, April 7 at the Hardwicke Funeral Chapel in Clarksville. Funeral Mass 11 a.m., Friday at the Saint Ignatius Catholic Church in Scranton with Abbot Jerome Kodell officiating, burial in The Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Hartman. Honorary Pallbearers: Bob Koenigseder, J.D. Almond, Richard Plugge, Jack McCaleb, David Rogers, Jerry Bagwell, Charles Granberry.
