John F. Gardner IV, 44, passed away November 17, 2010 in Fort Smith, Ark. He was born January 29, 1966 in Siloam Springs, Ark. to John F. Gardner III and Kaye Gardner. Johnny was a former Assistant Golf Professional at Hardscrabble Country Club and loved being able to work with the members and their families. Later he went to work for OK Foods and held numerous sales positions in the company. He moved into a more challenging sales field of medical devices for American Medical Systems. He put numerous hours of study and observation in this field before becoming a most respected salesman, having twice becoming a President's Club member as one of the top salesman for AMS. His love of the out of doors has always been a welcomed relief from work, as he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing golf. He is survived by his wife; Cyndi Stiga Gardner of Van Buren, Ark., his parents; John F. and Kaye Gardner III of Franklin, Tenn., one sister; Kimberley Kaye Stinson and her husband Gary, of Franklin, Tenn., one brother; Hank Ware Gardner and his wife Marni, of Franklin, Tenn. Memorial service will be 3 p.m.,. Saturday, November 20, 2010 at the First Presbyterian Church, Fort Smith, Ark., under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends from 1 p.m. – 2:45 p.m., Saturday, November 20, 2010, in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
