Bert German Dickey III born Feb. 14, 1949 to Bert G. Dickey, Jr. and Baer Coldren Dickey. He is survived by one son, B.G. Dickey IV of New York City and his two fox terriers, Bailey and Merrie. He worked for the State and retired after 20 years. He was a Realtor, former Federal Bankruptcy Trustee for the Eastern District of Arkansas, and Mediator for the Circuit Courts of Arkansas. He was a veteran having served in the Army Reserves as a Forward Observer and was an Airborne Ranger. He was a member of the Hot Springs Board of Realtors, Piney Grove Methodist Church, Hot Springs Village Golf Association and a lifetime member of the University of Arkansas Alumni Association. He was active in Arkansas politics having served on the Democratic Financial Council, Advisory Board to the Arkansas Young Democrats, Executive Committee of the Democratic Party and as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention in New York. He was a graduate of Wentworth Military Academy High School and Junior College, Arkansas State University, the University of Tennessee and the University of Arkansas, where he was a cheerleader. He was also an avid big game hunter. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Saturday, June 28, at Gross Funeral Home Hot Springs, Ark. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday, June 27, at Roller Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis, Ark. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday, June 28, at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Ark.
