James Craig Milligan

James Craig Milligan, 38, of Cave Springs, passed away Friday, Aug. 6, 2010 at his home. Craig was born on July 14, 1972 in Abington, Pa., a son of Ed Milligan and Ollie Bowlin Wadsworth. Craig worked for Schmieding Produce in Springdale in their truck procurement department. Craig was very active in his community serving as the chairman of the Cave Springs Planning Commission and as an Arkansas State Constable for Benton County. He played football for Eastern Kentucky University, was a member of the Mercy and Grace Cathedral in Springdale, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, a member of the American Legion, a member of the Marine Corp Auxiliary, and enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife Carmen Milligan of the home; a daughter Lauren Milligan of the home; his mother, Ollie Wadsworth of Oxford, Ala., and step-father Bob Gray of Union Springs, Ala.; his father and step-mother, Ed and Linda Milligan of Clearfield, Pa.; a sister, Stephanie Hamilton of Oxford, Ala.; two step-brothers, Sean O'Dell of Clearfield, Pa., and Charlie Wadsworth of Villa Rica, Ga.; two step-sisters, Katy Duncan of Marietta, Ga., and Tracy Eisenhower of Indiana, Pa.; nieces, Alex and Amanda Hamilton of Oxford, Ala.; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bob and Arlene McGarrah of Cave Springs, Ark.; along with many other family members and friends. Services will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel in Springdale on Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010 at 2 p.m. Rev. Euel Bilderback and Rev. Larry Marler will officiate the service with burial being held at the Elm Springs Cemetery under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Springdale. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lauren Milligan College Fund at Arvest Banks.
