Catherine Hunter Williamson, 85, of Pine Bluff, died Friday, August 6, 2010. Born December 28, 1924 in Pine Bluff, the daughter of the late John Brice and Frances Cross Hunter, she was reared in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School in 1942. She attended Hendrix College and Lindenwood University before graduating from Louisiana State University in 1946. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, the Hawthorne Book Club, Junior Mathontes, the Junior League of Pine Bluff, and volunteered for many years at Jefferson Regional Medical Center as a "Grey Lady". Her survivors include her husband, C. Sam Williamson, who she married June 21, 1947 in Pine Bluff; two daughters, F. Susan Williamson of Little Rock, Catherine W. Freeman (Dewey) of Little Rock; son, S. Gaines Williamson (Bonnie) of Pine Bluff; four grandchildren, Jennifer Willeford (Stephen), Brice Freeman, Taylor Williamson, and Hunter Williamson; and two faithful caregivers, Brenda Gaddy and Jacquelin Nelson. Mrs. Williamson's funeral is Monday, August 9, at 10:30 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church by Ralph Robinson & Son. Interment follows in Bellwood Cemetery.
