Governor announced board, commision appointments

Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson recently made appointments to various positions.

• State Board of Health: Reappointed Dr. Eddie Bryant, West Memphis; and appointed Lane Crider, Fayetteville, who replaces Alan Fortenberry; Dr. Brad Erney, Jonesboro, who replaces Dr. Miranda Childs Beebe; Dr. Darren Flamik, Roland, who replaces Dr. Lee Johnson; Dr. Balan Nair, Little Rock, who replaces Dr. Susan Ward-Jones; Donald Ragland, Marshall, who replaces George Harper; and Dr. Greg Ungerank, Wynne, who replaces Dr. Beverly Foster. Bryant, Flamik, Nair and Ragland's terms expire Dec. 21, 2020; Crider, Erney and Ungerank's terms expire Dec. 31, 2021.

• Henderson State University board of trustees: Creed Spann, Little Rock, replaced James Barnes. Term expires Jan. 14, 2025.

• Arkansas Catfish Promotion Board: Kenny Francis, Corning, replaced Joey Lowery. Term expires June 30, 2020.

• Arkansas Fire Protection Licensing Board: Fire Chief Kevin Lang, Paragould, replaces James Thompson. Term expires April 1, 2024.

• Residential Contractors Committee: reappointed Steve Rucker, Alma, and Dewayne Tooke, Warren. Terms expire Oct. 1, 2021.

• State Plant Board: reappointed Kyle Baltz, Pocahontas; Matthew Marsh, Cammack Village; and Barry Walls, Harrisburg. Terms expire March 17, 2021.

• Arkansas School for the Blind and the Arkansas School for the Deaf board of trustees: reappointed Faith Mclaughlin, Little Rock; and appointed Holley Mott, Cabot, who replaces Harry Pompeo. Terms expire Jan. 14, 2024.

• Capitol Zoning District Commission: reappointed Julie Mullenix, Little Rock; Jeffrey Jenkins, Little Rock; and Cassandra Toro, Little Rock; and appointed Patrick Anders, Little Rock, who replaces Thomas Jameson. Terms expire May 1, 2022.

• Firefighter Benefit Review Panel: reappointed Dr. Anthony Bucolo, Little Rock; Chief Brad Hardin, West Fork; Lt. Michael Willhite, Hamburg; Chief Tom Jenkins, Rogers; and Chief Bill Heck, Malvern; and appointed Paula Long, Batesville, who replaces Ginger Hart. Terms expire May 6, 2023.

• Governor's Advisory Commission on National Service and Volunteerism: reappointed Gloria Redman, Little Rock; Amanda Nipper, Little Rock; and Dr. Derek Slagle, Little Rock; and appointed Mayor Paul Wellenberger, Fairfield Bay, who replaces JoAnne Bush; Tina Winham, Rogers, who replaces Mark Cassady; Dr. Nick Ogle, Springdale, who replaces Dr. Peggy Sissel; and Russ Swearingen, Rogers. Terms expire Feb. 12, 2020.

• Pike County Quorum Court: Jerry Kizzia, Nashville, replaced David Simon as District 7 justice of the peace. Term expires Dec. 31, 2020.

• Johnson County Quorum Court: Katie Howard, Clarksville, replaced Greg Dickerson as District 8 justice of the peace. Term expires Dec. 31, 2020.
