Bentonville station ceremony open to public

BENTONVILLE -- The city is inviting the public to attend a groundbreaking for fire station No. 7 at 2 p.m. Feb. 22.

The 9,472-square-foot station at 4508 S.W. Prime Ave. will be built on 2.3 acres about 4 miles southwest of Station No. 6.

It will have one wash and three apparatus bays. It will include living quarters for six firefighters and a battalion chief and a substation office for the Police Department.

Jackson Brown Palculict of Little Rock designed the building. Clinard Construction Management of Bentonville is the construction manager.

The building is expected to be completed in the fall and cost about $2.5 million.
