About 300 volunteers were on hand when the gates opened at 7:30 a.m. to distribute clothing, presents and food to 3,460 children in need from Benton County, said Sarah Semrow, Sharing & Caring executive director. Families apply for assistance in October and volunteers shop for each child's needs.
