Frontier Airlines will fly out of the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport, offering nonstop service to Denver International Airport, official announced this morning.

Northwest Arkansas is the 100th airport the low-cost Denver-based airline serves.

The airline offers a kids-fly-free program. Children 14 years and younger fly free when traveling with an adult through the airline's Discount Den travel club on qualifying flights.

"Having Frontier Airlines at Bentonville/Fayetteville is a huge win for our community. Frontier's presence is sure to positively impact XNA," Nelson Peacock, president and CEO of the Northwest Arkansas Council, said in a news release.

"The Northwest Arkansas Council set a goal of attracting low-cost air service to XNA to create competition, and we'll be working hard to ensure that people living here prioritize Frontier when making air travel decisions."

The council is a nonprofit organization focused on improving the quality of life in the region.

Frontier is offering an introductory one-way fare of $38.88 to Denver. Ticketing is available at flyfrontier.com.
