A Little Rock man pointed a shotgun at a woman during a fight Wednesday, according to a police report.

Officers responding to a disturbance Wednesday on Apperson Street met a Little Rock woman who said Joey Ring Neal, 58, threatened her with a shotgun during a fight, the report said.

After the woman gave police consent to search the home, officers found a shotgun that had been altered and arrested Neal on charges of possession of a firearm by a certain person, aggravated assault on a family or household member, possession of a defaced firearm and first-degree terroristic threatening.

Neal was in the Pulaski County jail as of Thursday evening with bail set at $20,000.

Gun, money taken in Hillcrest holdup

A 27-year-old Little Rock man told investigators that he was robbed of a handgun and cash by someone who approached him outside his residence in Little Rock's Hillcrest neighborhood, authorities said.

According to a police report, officers were called about 12:30 a.m. Thursday to the 4600 block of I Street, where the man said a gunman lunged at him hours earlier and struggled with him over a gun box.

The man said he was in the process of moving and was picking up multiple boxes at the time, police noted.

The gunman eventually got the gun box and took the gun that was inside, the report states, adding that the victim then heard someone in the driver's seat of a nearby vehicle yell, "Just shoot him."

The victim offered the robber his wallet. The robber took $250 in cash and drove off in a tan Hyundai sedan, the report said.

The victim told officers that the robbery occurred at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. It wasn't immediately clear why it was reported hours later.

The gunman was described as black, 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds and wearing a brown shirt, bluejeans and tennis shoes.

Medical staff members told authorities that Harmon was in critical condition and was undergoing surgery.

A 59-year-old man who took Harmon to the hospital said he saw the 25-year-old fighting with a man in the front yard of a home in the 2500 block of Battery Street, the report states. Officers noted that the older man believed the fight was over $20.
