Rogers police investigating shooting

ROGERS -- Police are investigating a shooting where officers may have been the intended targets.

Officers went to 1014 W. Oak St. at 4:02 a.m. Tuesday in response to a call about an aggravated burglary. Two people were holding the resident at gunpoint, according to a news release from the Police Department.

The officers heard gunfire as they arrived on the scene, according to the release.

It was originally thought the shots were fired at the officers, but it isn't clear they were the intended targets, according to the release.

The suspects wore masks and ran from the scene. Police don't have a description of the pair.

No one was injured, and officers did not return fire, according to the release.

The case is under investigation.
