FAYETTEVILLE -- The new Slim Chickens will have its grand opening Thursday morning, according to a news release.

The restaurant at 1855 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. is the fifth location in Fayetteville. The Fayetteville-based chain known for its fried chicken tenders, chicken and waffles, house sauce and more now has 75 locations total.

Slim Chickens co-founder Greg Smart will be at the grand opening 10-11 a.m. Thursday, according to the news release.

"The brand will also be kicking off activities in the community throughout this month, including one specifically designed to benefit the local Children's Hospital where guests are able to round up their order to the next dollar, and the change will be donated to the hospital. They will also be launching Day of Deals at the grand opening, where each day a different prize will be given to a restaurant guest," according to the news release.

The restaurant's hours are 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. with the drive-thru open until 1 a.m. seven days a week, according to Slim Chickens' website.
