Lane closings set for I-40 near Altus

Routine pothole repairs on a 15-mile section of Interstate 40 in Franklin County will require alternating lane closings lasting through late November, the Arkansas Department of Transportation said.

Crews will work continuously on the outside eastbound lane between Altus and Mulberry daily, weather permitting.

Once the eastbound lane work is complete, work will begin on the westbound lanes, which will have alternating lane closings between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily, the department said. Traffic will be controlled with signs and barrels.
