Work on a $26.9 million project to build a new Interstate 49/U.S. 71B interchange in Bentonville will require overnight lane closings on I-49 this week, the Arkansas Department of Transportation said.
An alternating lane closing will be in place between New Hope Road and U.S. 71B from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. each day, weather permitting.
Work on the interchange will alternate between the southbound and northbound lanes and is expected to take two weeks to complete, the department said. Traffic will be controlled with signs and traffic barrels.
