A 28-year-old Arkansas man died Saturday after another car crossed the centerline of a highway east of Vilonia, authorities said.

Jesse Hogue of Vilonia was driving west on U.S. 64B in a 2012 Chevy Cruze when an eastbound 2008 Chevy Malibu crossed the centerline and struck his car head-on shortly after 1 p.m., according to a report from Arkansas State Police.

Hogue was killed in the wreck.

The report didn't indicate what may have caused the Malibu to cross the centerline.

The driver of the Malibu, Jacob Lacy, 29, also of Vilonia, was hurt, the report stated, though it didn't indicate the extent of his injuries.

Road conditions were dry and clear at the time of the crash, authorities said.

At least 395 people have died on Arkansas roads so far this year, according to preliminary information.
