Investigators used a cellphone to track an Arkansas man suspected of killing his parents to Oklahoma, where he was arrested late Tuesday night, authorities said.

Franklin County Sheriff Anthony Boen said Dustin Zachary Jordan, 23, of Ratcliff, was arrested without incident a little before midnight in Edmond, Okla. Officials traced his cellphone there, and then authorities in that region located Jordan and took him into custody, Boen said.

An arrest warrant was issued for Jordan hours earlier in the shooting deaths of his parents, Michael and Kathy Jordan.

Their bodies were discovered Monday in the home on Compressor Road that they shared with their son, according to an affidavit from Travis Ball, a criminal investigator with the Franklin County sheriff's office.

Jordan remained in custody in Oklahoma on Wednesday morning. The sheriff said his office was waiting on extradition papers to be signed before bringing Jordan back into Arkansas.

He said he didn't know if Jordan was armed when he was arrested, and no further information about the motive was yet clear.

"We'll know more once we get to interview him," Boen said, noting he was relieved to make an arrest. "Absolutely. We wanted to make sure he didn't hurt anyone else."
