Yates held without bond in Rogers homicide case

BENTONVILLE -- A judge today ordered Don Paul Yates be held without bond on capital murder charges.

Yates, 53, of Rogers was arrested Friday in connection with capital murder, according to a Rogers' Police Department news release.

Police started an investigation after a man's body was found in a home, according to a previous news release. Officers found the body at 1 p.m. Sept. 25 after they went to 53 W. Alton Circle for a welfare check, according to the release.

Yates' address also was listed as 53 W. Alton Circle in Benton County Jail booking information.

The victim's name hasn't been released pending a positive identification from the Arkansas State Crime Lab, Keith Foster with Rogers police said on today.

Benton County records show the property is owned by Patrick Quinley.

Yates and the victim knew each other, and Yates became a suspect early in the investigation, according to the release.

Yates was arrested in Fulton County.
