New Eagle Scouts

Joshua Nguyen, 16, is the son of Duong and Angela Nuff Nguyen of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 29 in Little Rock at Christ the King Catholic Church. Joshua planned and constructed a 115-foot paver walkway to connect the school building to the playground at The Academy of Riverdale, a school for students with special needs.

Thomas McGinnis Franks, 17, is the son of Bill and Kate Franks of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 30 in Little Rock at St. Paul United Methodist Church. Thomas designed and built a disc golf course for campers and guests at Ferncliff Camp and Conference Center in Little Rock.

Matthew McLendon, 17, is the son of Mark and Melissa McLendon of Greenbrier. He is a member of Troop 435 in Greenbrier at Greenbrier United Methodist Church. Matthew directed others, including fellow scouts, in cleaning around, and the painting of, over 40 fire hydrants for the City of Greenbrier Fire Department.

Aaron Ross Davis, 18, is the son of Cecil Davis and Katherine Mack-Davis of Greenbrier. He is a member of Troop 435 in Greenbrier at Greenbrier United Methodist Church. Aaron directed his fellow troop members in a beautification project for Cross Point Church in Greenbrier; they added landscaping around the building and the church sign.

William Kenneth Greene, 18, is the son of Robert and Margaret Greene of Conway. He is a member of Troop 435 in Greenbrier at Greenbrier United Methodist Church. William supervised the building and installation of a dog playground and exercise equipment constructed from recycled tires in the Conway City Dog Park.

Kyle Thomas Greene, 18, is also the son of Robert and Margaret Greene of Conway. He is a member of Troop 435 in Greenbrier at Greenbrier United Methodist Church. Kyle designed and supervised the construction of a prayer garden for the Greenbrier United Methodist Church; this included supervising his fellow scouts in the landscaping, and the building of a meditation bench.

Mason Paul Wayne Fisher, 15, is the son of Wayne and April Fisher of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 108 in Hensley at East End Baptist Church. Mason rehabilitated a basketball court at East End Baptist Church; this included cleaning, filling cracks, painting, and adding appropriate lines to the existing court, as well as replacing the backboards and rims, painting the existing poles and adding benches to the side of the court.

Lucas Amerson, 17, is the son of Chad and Christi Amerson of Hot Springs. He is a member of Troop 2 in Hot Springs at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Lucas planned and carried out exterior landscaping and building improvements at Change Point Pregnancy Care and Parent Resource Center.

Sean A. Roades, 17, is the son of John and Suzette Roades of Jonesboro. He is a member of Troop 218 in Jonesboro at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Sean organized and executed a community-wide food drive to benefit the Helping Neighbor Food Pantry in Jonesboro; food was collected by volunteers over a two-day period at Sam's Club and Harp's Grocery, and donations were received from other local businesses, for a total of 2,029 pounds of food and $2,500 for the food pantry.

Brendan Halpin, 17, is the son of Kevin and Kristen Halpin of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 604 in Little Rock at Second Presbyterian Church. Brendan built an evacuation path from Fulbright Elementary to St. James United Methodist Church, including two bridges that he built by hand.
