PINE BLUFF -- The Arkansas Department of Correction says an inmate has died after being found unresponsive in his cell.
Department spokesman Solomon Graves says Charles Winston was found about 9:30 p.m. Monday by prison staff conducting regular security rounds.
Graves says Winston was pronounced dead about 25 minutes later. A suspected cause of death has not been released.
Graves says Arkansas State Police will investigate the death and the Department of Correction will conduct an internal investigation into the death.
