Arkansas Baptist changes game site

Arkansas Baptist College men's team will play Connors (Okla.) State College tonight at Little Rock Hall's Cirks Arena. The game was originally scheduled to be played at ABC's home gymnasium. Tipoff for tonight's game is 7 p.m.

WOMEN'S COLLEGE BASKETBALL

ASU downs UAM

Trinitee Johnson scored 11 points while Akasha Westbrook and Lycia Peevy had 10 to lead Arkansas State University to an 84-61 victory over the University of Arkansas at Monticello in an exhibition game Monday night at First National Bank Arena in Jonesboro.

The Red Wolves shot 54.4 percent from the floor and never trailed, leading 22-16 after the first quarters, 46-29 at halftime and 60-39 after three quarters.

Mackenzie Johnson led UAM with 16 points and Taylor Farley had 10. The Cotton Blossoms were held to 31.3 percent, field-goal shooting for the game.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL

OBU ranked second in regional rankings

Ouachita Baptist University is ranked second in the NCAA Division II Super Region 3 rankings which came out Monday.

The Tigers (10-0) are ranked behind Ferris State (10-0) and followed by Grand Valley State (9-1), Indianapolis (8-1), Fort Hays State (8-2), Northwest Missouri State (8-2) and Southern Arkansas University (8-2). Harding University (8-2) is eighth.

The top seven teams in the region at the end of the regular season earn a spot in the NCAA Division II playoffs, and the No. 1 seed earns a first-round bye.

UALR announces Hall of Fame class

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock announced its 2019 Hall of Fame class on Monday.

This year's inductees are: Karen Aston, who played basketball from 1985-1987 and is currently the women's basketball coach at Texas; Bill Ballard, who was the men's basketball coach from 1961-1965 and later served as the school's athletic director; Mike Morrison, a golfer from 1967-1968; Chastity Reed, who played basketball from 2007-2011; and Sara Wikstrom, who played golf from 2005-2009.
