• Actor Alec Baldwin was arrested Friday afternoon in Manhattan, police said. He was taken into custody after getting into a dispute over a parking spot outside his New York City home. Police say Baldwin claimed he had a family member holding the spot when a man driving a station wagon pulled up and took it. Officials said the men were arguing and pushing each other before the 60-year-old Baldwin turned violent. The charges were still pending, but police said officers had responded to a 911 call of an assault on East 10th Street. When they arrived they found a 49-year-old man with an injury to his jaw. He was taken to Lenox Hill Hospital and was listed in stable condition. Baldwin, an outspoken liberal, has portrayed President Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live, and the two men have often sparred on social media. In Washington, Trump was asked about Baldwin's arrest. "I wish him luck," Trump said.
• Julianne Hough is going to play the other woman. She will play the character Jolene in Netflix's upcoming anthology series based on Dolly Parton's music. Dolly Parton's Heartstrings will consist of eight episodes, each inspired by one of Parton's songs. In the "Jolene" version, Hough, 30, will play a free spirit with big dreams to leave her small town. Parton, 72, will act as the owner of a local country bar where Hough's Jolene is a waitress. Hough recently co-starred with Tyler Hoechlin in the movie Bigger about Joe Weider, who co-founded the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness and who created the Mr. Olympia contest. She played his wife, fitness model Betty Weider. Dolly Parton's Heartstrings is set to debut next year.
• Hey hey, my my, Neil Young is now calling Daryl Hannah his wife. The 72-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and the 57-year-old Splash actress had been utterly mum on the subject of their marriage since reports that they wed in California in August. But Young said in a pro-gun-control post on his website Wednesday featuring a new performance of his 1970 song "Ohio" that "My wife Daryl and I put this video together." The couple's representatives didn't reply to requests for comment. It's the third marriage for Young and the first for Hannah, who had previous relationships with Jackson Browne and John F. Kennedy Jr. She wrote and directed the Netflix movie Paradox, starring Young, earlier this year. Young's hits include "Hey Hey, My My" and "Heart of Gold."
