Caleb Lloyd fired four touchdown passes and the Wolves managed just enough stops on defense to claim a wild 59-48 win at Wolf Pack Stadium in the regular-season finale.

Don Harrison, in his fourth season leading the Lincoln program, said he was proud of the way his seniors have hung in with the team through the hard times, to now reap the benefits of a great season.

"We talked to them about how it wasn't going to be an overnight thing," Harrison said. "They really stuck with it and worked hard."

The No. 3 seed and a home playoff game in the first round next week were at stake for both teams. Now the lights will come on in Lincoln (8-2, 5-2 4A-1 Conference) next week.

Lloyd took full control of his unit and the Wolves dominated offensively. Lloyd hit senior Sterling Morphis on all four touchdown strikes covering 31, 23, 30 and 13 yards. Lloyd also scored three rushing touchdowns to account for seven scores on the night.

In addition to scoring four touchdowns, Morphis also intercepted a pass in the win.

"He's the engine that pulls the whole train," Harrison said of Lloyd. "He's so composed and leads our team."'

In a wild back-and-forth first half, Prairie Grove (5-5, 4-3) grabbed a 35-34 lead as Garrett Heltemes scored two of his four touchdowns on the night.

Lincoln senior Cam Brown also scored twice.

The Wolves will host Hamburg next week in the first round of the state playoffs. Prairie Grove will travel to Lonoke next week.

"When I break all this down and watch this film, we're going to fix the problems we had tonight," Harrison.
