Robert Lockard, 94, a decorated veteran who served in northern France and central Europe during World War II, was honored with a high school diploma from Circleville, Ohio, High School, 74 years after he dropped out to join the U.S. Army.

Lorin Nielsen, sheriff of Bannock County, Idaho, issued a public safety warning after several parents openly armed with assault-style rifles and a pistol responded to the scene of a school lockdown, calling it a "very bad idea" that could lead police to confuse them with active shooters.
