Private school opening in Fayetteville

A private school in Fayetteville plans to open in the fall. The Ann Brown Memorial School -- Center for Inspired Education at 2237 S. School Ave., is enrolling students for kindergarten and first grade.

The school's founder, Melissa Graham of Austin, Texas, is joined by her husband, Paul Davis, and Arbor and Rebecca Buchanan. They have a combined 40 years of accumulated educational experience.

Graham describes the school as "a project-based, child-driven, mentor-supported learning environment."

Ann Brown Memorial School honors the memory of local educator Ann Brown. Brown taught at Washington Elementary before opening Brown's Kindergarten.
