BENTONVILLE -- Both state Rep. Jana Della Rosa of Rogers and Rep. Dan Douglas of Bentonville won their party's primary Tuesday, according to election officials.
There are not enough provisional, military or absentee ballots uncounted to change the outcome of either the state House District 90 or 91 race, Benton County's election coordinator announced Wednesday afternoon.
Della Rosa defeated Kendon Underwood in the District 90 race with a margin of only three votes out of 2,133 cast.
There is only one provisional ballot -- a ballot held because the voter did not have photo identification or had some other question -- in the District 90 race, Benton County Election Coordinator Kim Dennison confirmed early Wednesday afternoon.
There are no military or other federal ballots left uncounted in that race either, her statement said.
The District 91 race between incumbent Douglas and Scott Richardson, also of Bentonville, has a wider margin -- 12 votes out of 1,880 cast.
"Whether it's one, 12 or 1,200, the result is the same," Douglas said in a telephone interview.
Underwood and Richardson have until 4:30 p.m. Thursday to request a recount, Dennison's statement said.
There is no Democratic or Libertarian opponent in the District 91 race. Della Rosa will face Democratic nominee Kati McFarland in the Nov. 6 general election.
