UALR honors three alumni for their work

Troy Wells, Mauri Douglass and Lelia Rosenkrans were honored May 11 as the University of Arkansas at Little Rock's distinguished alumni for 2018.

Wells, chief executive officer at Baptist Health, was presented with the Distinguished Alumnus Award. The honor is given to individuals who have achieved extraordinary distinction in their field.

Douglass, a longtime teacher of gifted and talented students, received the Presidents Award. It recognizes graduates who have combined successful careers with dedication to UALR.

Rosenkrans, a 2018 graduate with a 4.0 grade point average who studied dance and pre-medicine courses, was given the Edward L. Whitbeck Memorial Award. It is the greatest distinction bestowed on the university's graduating seniors.

The awards luncheon was held at the Clinton Presidential Center.
