Four districts readying for graduation rites

High school seniors in Pulaski County's four traditional school districts will be participating in graduation ceremonies in the coming days, starting tonight with North Little Rock High School.

The Class of 2018 commencement ceremony for the North Little Rock seniors will be at 7 p.m. today in Verizon Arena.

Jacksonville High School in the Jacksonville/North Pulaski School District will hold graduation ceremonies at 7 p.m. Friday in the Jack Stephens Center on the University of Arkansas at Little Rock campus.

Pulaski County Special School District

Pulaski County Special School District's four high schools will hold graduation ceremonies Saturday in the Jack Stephens Center at UALR.

The Sylvan Hills High ceremony will be at 9 a.m., followed by the Wilbur D. Mills University Studies High ceremony at 1 p.m., the Maumelle High ceremony at 3:30 p.m. and the Joe T. Robinson High ceremony at 6 p.m.

Little Rock School District

The high schools in the Little Rock School District will hold baccalaureate ceremonies, which feature community speakers, and graduation ceremonies in the coming days. The ceremonies, times and dates for each school are:

• Central High's baccalaureate will be at 6 p.m. Sunday at the school; Chelsea Clinton, vice chairman of the Clinton Foundation, will speak; graduation will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 24, in Verizon Arena.

• Hall High's baccalaureate will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at the school; Roderick L. Smothers Sr., president of Philander Smith College, will speak; graduation will be at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, in Verizon Arena.

• J.A. Fair High's baccalaureate will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at the school and will feature Jamie Scott, director of Pulaski County Youth Services; graduation will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, in Verizon Arena.

• McClellan High's baccalaureate will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the school and will feature Frederick Fields, Little Rock School District senior director of student services; graduation will be at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, in Verizon Arena.

• Parkview Arts and Sciences Magnet High's baccalaureate will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at the school and will feature Frank Scott, Jr., an executive at First Security Bank; graduation will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, in Verizon Arena.
