Police arrest man connected with suspicious death, other crimes

SPRINGDALE — Police arrested the Springdale man late Monday night they said is connected to a suspicious death, according to a press release.

Police found Zachary Nicholas Harlan, 33, at a home in Seligman, Mo., and arrested him without incident, according to the release.

Harlan is being held in the Barry County Jail in Cassville on a parole violation warrant with pending charges for a battery that took place in Springdale on May 5, police said.

He is also wanted in connection to the death of his roommate at 2960 Moulton Lane in Springdale. Police went to check on a man who didn’t show up to work Monday and found him dead at 1:36 p.m. at the Moulton Lane address.

Police have not released the name of the roommate.

The U.S. Marshals Service and the Barry County, Mo., Sheriff’s Office assisted in Harlan’s arrest, Springdale police said.
