Haas Hall Academy remained at No. 1 and Northwest Arkansas claimed six of the top nine spots in this year's ranking of the state's public high schools by U.S. News & World Report.
Haas Hall's Fayetteville campus led the state's high schools for the seventh straight year and climbed 10 spots to 50th in the nation, according to the rankings released today.

Two other Arkansas high schools placed in the publication's top 1,000 nationally: eStem Public Charter High School in Little Rock at No. 572 and LISA Academy North High Charter School in Sherwood at No. 915.
Each of Arkansas' top three high schools this year are open-enrollment charter schools.
Prairie Grove High School moved up to fourth from last year's rank of seventh in the state. Bentonville High School stayed at No. 5.
Three Northwest Arkansas high schools fell in the state rankings this year but remained in the state's top 10: Arkansas Arts Academy dropped from second to eighth, Rogers High School went from fourth to sixth and Fayetteville High School went from eighth to ninth.
Rogers' New Technology High School, now in its fifth year, placed 12th in the ranking.
Haas Hall also has campuses in Bentonville, Rogers and Springdale. This year's rankings are based on data from the 2015-16 school year, which was the first year for the Bentonville campus. It was not eligible to be ranked this year because it had fewer than 15 seniors at the time. The Rogers and Springdale campuses didn't open until last fall.
