Bill Clinton, his co-author set June 9 talk in LR about novel

President Bill Clinton and best-selling author James Patterson will present a lecture in Little Rock to promote their coming novel.

The co-authors will speak June 9 on The President Is Missing as part of the Frank and Kula Kumpuris Distinguished Lecture series, which will be held at the Statehouse Convention Center, according to a news release from the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. that day, and the program is set to begin at 6 p.m. Admission is free, but reservations should be made by emailing [email protected]. The Statehouse Convention Center is at 101 E. Markham St., between Broadway and Main Street, in downtown Little Rock.

The President Is Missing is described as a "powerful, one-of-a-kind thriller filled with details only a president could know, and the kind of suspense only James Patterson can deliver."

The Frank and Kula Kumpuris Distinguished Lecture Series was established with a gift from the Kumpuris family in honor of their mother and in memory of their father. The Kumpuris Lecture Series is presented by the Clinton Foundation, the Clinton School of Public Service and AT&T.

There will be no public book signing, the news release said. However, books pre-signed by both authors will be available for pre-order on Friday from Wordsworth Books. The book will be released in June.
