***MAGIC ERASER finished a close second behind an even-money winner, while nearly 9 lengths clear of third, in a strong late-running effort. He is improving and switches to a leading rider. GALLOPINGGUINNESS has finished well in all three of his sprint races. He is bred to route and is taking a slight drop in price. IT'S BELLAMY TIME showed improved early speed in a useful sprint tune-up, and he is another bred to improve at route distances.

**NECK 'N NECK is the class of the field with earnings exceeding $1 million. He is dropping to the lowest level of his career after a one-paced effort in his return from a lengthy vacation. FREESTYLER is dropping down from $30,000 following a competitive third-place finish, and the beaten post-time favorite has a running style that puts him in contention turning into the stretch. MONEY TALKER finished second in his last three starts in 2017 at Woodbine. He may be the controlling speed and is more than capable at this lower level.

**BANK ON ANDY pressed a fast pace before fading to third in his first try around two turns. He is lightly raced and likely to show improvement. JUSTANOTHERBIRD has finished in-the-money in three of his last four route races, and he gets in light with an apprentice rider aboard. I'M A LUCKY GUY had to overcome traffic in mid-stretch in an improved third-place finish against similar opposition.

**BANGO BOX won a "key" maiden-claiming race only two races back, and he is dropping in class after pressing a fast pace in his first race against winners. LEVANTO has been narrowly defeated in consecutive route races, and his Beyer figures are fast enough for him to move up in price and contend. ARCH CAT has not raced since July, but he clearly owns the field's fastest Beyer figures and recent works are encouraging.

5 Purse $32,000, 6 furlongs, fillies, 3-year-olds, maiden claiming $30,000

***FEISTY KATI set a fast pace and held on gamely when narrowly defeated by an odds-on winner at Houston. She is dropping into a maiden-claimer for the first time and picks up the leading rider. LUDIVINA finished a troubled fourth in her debut sprinting, and she returns to a preferred distance after contesting the pace over wet footing in a two-turn race. Moreover, she was claimed by sharp connections. CAN'TTOUCHMENOW has a win-early pedigree, and the first-time starter sports a couple of swift 5-furlong works.

***AREA raced four-wide throughout in a clear second-place finish. The beaten post-time favorite is adding blinkers and drew an improved post position. TRIPLE KAPALUA has been forwardly placed in consecutive third-place finishes. She is another wearing blinkers for the first time and keeps Hall of Fame rider Gary Stevens. DIAMONDCOAT crossed the wire only one position behind the top selection after setting a contested pace.

****SWITZERLAND ships from New York after winning a very fast maiden race. He is bred to be fast in both sides of his pedigree, and his Beyer figures are clearly best. KING ABNER is a lightly raced and unbeaten 4-year-old who has recorded a sharp works since defeating $30,000 rivals. BIG GRAY ROCKET is a well-bred colt with plenty of talent, but he must break a habit of breaking slowly from the gate.

8 The Rainbow. Purse $100,000, 6 furlongs, 3-year-olds, Arkansas-bred

***HOONANI ROAD has led past every pole in both of his career races. He easily owns the field's fastest Beyer figure and he keeps his regular rider. BEBOP SHOES is an unraced gelding taking on stake rivals, but he has been training like a horse with talent, and trainer Jinks Fires is having a good meeting. SUSPICIOUS EYES had an eventful fourth-place debut in a turf-sprint at Fair Grounds, and he may appreciate the surface switch and drop into a state-bred field.

PP HORSE;JOCKEY;TRAINER;ODDS

**LITTLE MISS AMY lost a clear lead inside the final furlong in a tough-luck second-place allowance finish, and she is a logical front-running threat at this conditioned-claiming level. FIRST TOMOE broke his maiden at this distance last summer at Gulfstream, and he drops in class and stretches out after an even effort sprinting at Gulfstream. HONOR WITH PRIDE is dropping to the lowest price of her career for winning connections, and she is a good finisher in a field with plenty of speed.

PP HORSE;JOCKEY;TRAINER;ODDS

EXOTIC POSSIBILITIES

The third race starts a Pick-3 and Bank On Andy is an overlay, but others need to be on the ticket. The fourth race bring s large field of 11 and it appears a three-horse race. The cost of the wager comes back to earth by singling Feisty Kati in the fifth. Switzerland is a good horse to single in the seventh race, which starts the last Pick-3. The eighth race has a big favorite in Hoonani Road, but I will use a couple more. The ninth race has a full field of 12 and is capable of producing a price so I'll spread a bit here as well.
