Second man arrested in connection to January men's club fight, shooting

SPRINGDALE -- The U.S. Marshals arrested Carlos Gomez-Aguilar today in Springdale in connection with the January shooting at Silver Dollar Cabaret in Fayetteville.

Gomez-Aguilar was identified as a suspect by Fayetteville Police Department detectives following the Jan. 21 shooting. He was wanted in connection with aggravated assault, battery, terroristic threatening, criminal mischief and engaging in a violent group, according to the U.S. Marshals press release.

One employee at the club suffered a minor injury in the incident.

The federal marshals took Gomez-Aquilar to the Washington County Detention Center, according to the release.

Gomez-Aguilar was previously deported for illegal re-entry into the United States in 2013, according to the release. No further information about Gomez-Aguilar was provided.

Ramon Flores, 26, of Lowell was arrested shortly after the shooting. Flores and Gomez-Aguilar were involved in a fight about 1:30 a.m. Jan. 21. Multiple shots were fired at the building after the fight, according to police.

Flores was charged with accessory to aggravated assault, battery, terrorist act, criminal mischief, engaging in violent group activity and felony in possession of a firearm.

The Western Arkansas Fugitive Task Force, with assistance from ICE and the FBI, made the arrest, according to the release. The task force has members of the Marshals Service, Arkansas State Police, Benton County Sheriff's Office, Springdale and Greenwood police departments.
