China vote sets Xi up for life rule

Chinese President Xi Jinping, who was unanimously re-elected to a second term, bows Saturday after taking the oath of office during a plenary session of the National People’s Congress in Beijing’s Great Hall of the People. Xi has no limit on the number of terms he can serve.

BEIJING -- China's rubber-stamp legislature on Saturday unanimously approved the reappointment of Xi Jinping as president with no limit on the number of terms he can serve.
