Northwest Health patients moved away from carbon dioxide leak

SPRINGDALE -- A carbon dioxide leak at Northwest Health forced workers to move patients and treat coworkers for exposure, according to a press release.

The leak occurred during boiler testing and two workers received medical treatment, according to the release.

It was not clear what part of the hospital was affected or how many patients were displaced.

The two Northwest associates are expected to be released from the emergency room tonight and air quality is returning to safe levels, according to the press release.
