Alma 2, Greenwood 1
Parker Edwards and Connor Noland hooked up in a classic pitcher's duel Tuesday with Edwards team giving him just enough run support to earn the win by scoring two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Edwards went seven innings and allowed just four Greenwood hits with nine strikeouts in a 96-pitch masterpiece. Noland was even more dominant, allowing just one hit with 16 strikeouts in a 92-pitch gem before giving way to Blake Pscier.
With one out in the bottom of the seventh and trailing 1-0, Alma's T Christello reached on an error and D Smith smacked a double to put runners at second and third base. Christello scored on a wild pitch to tie the game at 1-1. Smith scored one batter later on an error for the walk-off win.
Colton Sagely was 2-for-3 for Greenwood. Destin Smith had a double for Alma.
FS Southside 17, Springdale High 9
In a score that more resembled a football game, Fort Smith Southside overcame a seven-run deficit to outscore the Bulldogs on Tuesday.
Springdale scored seven runs in the top of the first inning, but four Bulldogs pitchers surrendered 15 hits, walked eight and gave up 16 earned runs in the loss.
Southside scored four in the first, two more in the third and took the lead with a six-run fourth inning.
J.T. Jones was 2-for-3 with two doubles to lead the Mavericks. Ryan Hamilton was 4-for-5 with a double and 4 RBIs, and Mason Love was 3-for-4 with a triple and drove in three runs. Brock Thibodeaux was 2-for-3. Three other Mavericks drove in two runs each.
Springdale battered three Southside pitchers for 12 hits. Dylan Rollins, Sabino Nino, Christopher Harvey and Austin Wages all had two hits each for the Bulldogs, and Rollins stole two bases.
Van Buren 9, Wister, Okla. 4
The Pointers got a combined three-hitter from Trevor Johnston and Evan Jones in a win Tuesday.
Johnston went five innings and allowed two hits with five strikeouts. Jones pitched the final two innings and gave up just one run with four Ks.
Jones had a big day at the plate as well, going 3-for-3 with a home run, a double and 2 RBIs. Chase Moore also drove in two runs and Johnson was 2-for-2 at the plate.
Farmington 17, Siloam Springs 3
The Cardinals jumped to an early lead and added to it the rest of the way in a run-rule road win Tuesday.
Farmington grabbed a 2-1 lead in the first, then added six runs in the second, four in the third and five more in the fifth inning.
Logan Bobak went three innings and did not allow a hit with four strikeouts for Farmington. The Cardinals belted six extra-base hits. Eric Hill led the way, going 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles and 3 RBIs. Kyle Gates was 3-for-4 with two doubles and 4 RBIs. Drew Sturgeon, Tate Sutton, Hayden VanLaningham and Evan Shoffit all had multiple hits for Farmington.
Barron Meek had a triple and Taylor Pool belted a double for Siloam Springs.
Gravette 7, Harrison 3
The Lions built an early 7-0 lead and did not let it go in knocking off Harrison.
Bailey Soule' was 2-for-2 with a double and 2 RBIs for Gravette. Kenton Tajchman went four innings and allowed just two hits with six strikeouts for Gravette.
Westville, Okla. 6, Prairie Grove 5 (9 inn.)
Westville broke a 5-5 tie with a run in the top of the ninth inning to edge Prairie Grove on Tuesday.
Morgan Grooms lead off the ninth inning with a single and stole second base for Westville. After being sacrificed to third, Grooms scored on a single. Grooms was 3-for-5 on the day with a double.
Cole Cundiff earned the win, replacing Grooms on the hill. Cundiff went six innings and allowed three hits with 11 strikeouts.
Kyle Fidler took the loss for the Tigers. Sylas Myane was 2-for-5 with a double for Prairie Grove.
Dardanelle 16-10, Lamar 2-1
The Sand Lizards swept a doubleheader on the road, winning the opener 16-2 and the nightcap xx-xx.
Dardanelle scored 13 runs in the first three innings to earn a run-rule win in the opener. Blake Chambers was 3-for-3 and finished a single short of hitting for the cycle with a double, triple and home run to go along with 5 RBIs. Brayden Myers also homered for the Sand Lizards, and Elyas Carter was 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles.
In the nightcap, Dardanelle's Jared Sykes dominated over six innings with 11 strikeouts.
Chambers had another big day at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and 3 RBIs.
Jerron Massengale was 3-for-3 with a double for Lamar and Wayden Copeland was 2-for-3.
Scranton 3, Danville 1
The Rockets scored three runs in the top of the fourth inning to earn a nonconference win.
Dakota Pickarts was 2-for-2 with a double for Scranton and Levi Forst was 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Booneville 10, Charleston 6
The Bearcats built a big early lead and held on to top Charleston in nonconference action Tuesday.
Brandon Ulmer was solid over four innings, allowing just one hit with seven strikeouts for Booneville. He was even better at the plate, belting a pair of home runs in a 3-for-3 day with 3 RBIs. Trent Woolridge also homered and drove in three runs.
Kaden Benge was 2-for-3 with a double and 2 RBIs for Charleston, and Bret Ward had a two-run double for the Tigers.
PREP SOFTBALL
Cedarville 3, Springdale High 0
Lucy Shelly pitched a four-hit shutout to lead the Lady Pirates to a nonconference win Tuesday.
Shelly struck out five and did not walk a batter in a dominating effort in the circle.
Cedarville gave Shelly all the run support she needed in the first inning, scoring a pair of runs for a 2-0 lead. The Lady Pirates tacked another run on in the sixth inning.
Shelly was 2-for-3 at the plate, and Haley Baker drove in a run for Cedarville.
Ashley Bradley had a double for the Lady Bulldogs.
Van Buren 8, FS Southside 7 (8 inn.)
The Lady Pointers struck in the late innings including two runs in the top of the eighth inning to overcome a 6-1 deficit in a nonconference will against Fort Smith Southside.
Van Buren banged 11 hits -- all singles -- to overcome four errors to earn the win. Whitney Ellis was 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs. Caroline Davis and Alexcia Trejo also had two hits each.
Piper Morgan drove in three runs for the Mavericks. Callin Massey, Hannah Houge and Mackenzie Farrar all had two hits for Southside.
Richelle Stacy allowed nine hits but only one earned run to get the win. Massey took the loss for Southside.
Lincoln 6, Elkins 4
The Wolves made the most of their four hits to earn a home win Tuesday.
Malorie Pershall was 2-for-3 with a double and 2 RBIs to lead the Lincoln offense. Ayden Massey earned the win in the circle, allowing eight hits over seven innings and two earned runs.
Lyndsey Dugan was 2-for-4 for Elkins, and Calley Reed drove in two runs with a double. Lakyn Whelpley took the loss for Elkins.
Farmington 20, Prairie Grove 4
Farmington scored 10 runs in the third inning to rout Prairie Grove.
The Lady Cardinals collected 14 hits to support winning pitcher Paige Devecsery, who allowed three runs and five hits in three innings.

Boys
Rogers Heritage 1, North Little Rock 0
The War Eagles improved to 4-0 with the narrow nonconference win on the road Tuesday night.
Jonathan Morales scored the lone goal of the match in the first half. Matt Many picked up the assist.
Springdale High 3, FS Southside 1
Jose Vega scored a pair of second-half goals to lead the Red'Dogs to a nonconference road win Tuesday night in Fort Smith.
Manuel Soto found the back of the net in the first half for Springdale.
The Bulldogs will be back in action on Tuesday at Rogers Heritage for the opening game of the 7A-West schedule.
Jenks, Okla. 3, Springdale Har-Ber 0
The Wildcats were shut out on the road Tuesday, falling to Jenks, Okla.
Har-Ber will return to action at home Tuesday against Rogers High in the 7A-West Conference opener with the boys starting at 5:30 and the girls match to follow.
Girls
FS Southside 5, Springdale High 2
The Lady Bulldogs got one goal each from Jessica Alvarado and Nayeli Contreras, but could not outscore Fort Smith Southside in a road loss Tuesday.
Lady Bulldogs will compete in the Harrison Tournament this weekend before opening 7A-West Conference play on the road Tuesday at Rogers Heritage.
Jenks, Okla. 2, Springdale Har-Ber 0
The Lady Wildcats were blanked on the road Tuesday in nonconference action.
Har-Ber will return to action in the Conway Tournament this weekend before returning home on Tuesday to host Rogers High as 7A-West Conference play begins.
