New venue coming to Bentonville's 8th Street Market

The Holler -- a gathering space where guests can eat, drink, work and play -- is set to open summer 2018 in Bentonville's 8th Street Market.

The venue is a concept by Bentonville-based Ropeswing Hospitality Group providing a casual gathering place.

The 10,000-square-foot space will feature workspaces with high-speed internet, coffee, dining and recreation areas that include three in-ground shuffleboard courts. The restaurant and entertainment space will anchor the south end of 8th Street Market and include live music.

"This project has been a goal for us for quite a while. We were eager to develop a concept that moves away from a traditional restaurant or cafe experience and leans into a local hangout that is unique to Bentonville." Rob Apple, founder of Ropeswing Hospitality Group, stated in a press release "We hope our guests will use this space to camp out and work, meet friends, start a business or join us for live music."

The Holler complements a growing list of tenants at the regional culinary hub that includes Brightwater: A Center for the Study of Food, Bike Rack Brewery, Markham & Fitz Chocolate Makers and Yeyo's Mexican Grill. Brightwater is a division of Northwest Arkansas Community College that offered its first classes in January 2017.

"The Holler enhances 8th Street Market's impact as a culinary destination, and it brings to our tenants another great opportunity for collaboration," Daniel Hintz with 8th Street Market, stated in the release. "Our foremost mission is to be a hub for the celebration of food and culture in Northwest Arkansas. The Holler's inclusiveness as a gathering place for all advances our mission, and we're excited for its opening soon."
