4 people die in accidents across state

At least four people died in separate Arkansas road accidents since Friday.

A 58-year-old Arkansas man was killed in a crash Sunday in which his SUV and a camper being towed by another vehicle overturned, authorities said.

The wreck happened shortly before 3:45 p.m. on U.S. 270 in Jefferson County.

According to a preliminary crash report from state police, Haesoon Noh of Pine Bluff was headed east on the road in a 2016 Ford Explorer when he veered into westbound lanes and struck a camper being towed by a 2006 GMC Sierra.

The SUV and the camper overturned, authorities said, and Noh suffered fatal injuries in the wreck.

The report did not state what caused Noh to travel into the westbound lanes but noted no one else was hurt in the collision.

State police said the road was dry and the weather was clear at the time of the crash.

A southeast Arkansas man died after the car he was driving veered off a highway Saturday afternoon and traveled into a ditch, state police said.

The single-vehicle wreck happened around 4:15 p.m. as 56-year-old Theo Bell of Dumas was traveling north on Arkansas 159 in the Desha County town of Mitchellville, according to a preliminary report.

Police say Bell suffered fatal injuries when the 2006 Ford Taurus veered off the highway and hit a nearby ditch. No one else was reported hurt.

The report said the weather was clear and roads were dry at the time.

A minor driving a pickup was ejected and killed in a crash early Saturday, authorities said.

According to a preliminary crash report, the wreck occurred shortly after 1:30 a.m. on Clay County Road 181 near Corning.

The male driver was headed south on the road when he lost control in a curve, causing his 2001 Ford F-150 to roll over, state police said. The boy, whose name and age were not released, was ejected.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clay County coroner, according to the report, which did not state what caused the driver to lose control of the pickup.

Authorities said the weather was clear and the road was dry at the time of the crash.

An Arkansas woman was killed and a man was hurt in a one-vehicle crash Friday night, according to a report from state police.

The wreck happened near the intersection of Carroll County roads 404 and 428 in Berryville shortly before 10 p.m.

Authorities said Neal S. Hagler, 19, of Berryville was driving 2011 Chevrolet west on County Road 428 when he "failed to stop" at the intersection. The vehicle hit a tree after it crossed into the intersection, the report said.

A passenger in the Chevrolet -- Destiny B. Mock, 20, of Eagle Rock -- was killed in the wreck. Hagler was hurt, the report stated, though it did not list the extent of his injuries.

State police said the road was dry and the weather was clear at the time of the crash.
