A north Arkansas man was killed early Saturday when the vehicle he was driving left a road and overturned several times, ejecting him, state police said.

The single-vehicle crash happened around 3:30 a.m. on Arkansas 7 North about 2 miles north of Arkansas 281 in Harrison, according to a preliminary report.

Police say Rodney Wayne Poor, 32, crossed the highway's centerline while northbound in a 2004 Dodge, at which point the vehicle traveled off the road, struck a culvert and "overturned several times."

Poor was ejected and died of injuries in the crash, according to the report. No one else was reported hurt.

The weather was said to be clear and roads were described as dry at the time.

At least 215 deaths have been recorded this year in traffic crashes on Arkansas roads, according to preliminary figures.
