Little Rock police say a Port Authority worker who was riding on the back of a train was killed when it crashed with an 18-wheeler Thursday morning.

The collision happened shortly after 9 a.m. in the 8200 block of Frazier Pike Road in east Little Rock.

According to a spokesman at the scene, the train was backing up when it hit the truck. Two Little Rock Port Authority workers were riding on the back of the train and jumped off when the wreck occurred, police say. A 61-year-old man was crushed when the train fell off the tracks.
