Three teens arrested in Siloam Springs shooting

BENTONVILLE -- Three teenagers were arrested Tuesday in connection with a shooting in Siloam Springs that left one person severely injured, according to a press release from the Siloam Springs Police Department.

Chance Cooper, 19, of Siloam Springs was shot June 12.

Siloam Springs police arrested Travis Harris, 18, of Siloam Springs in connection with battery and engaging in violent criminal group activity.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested by Rogers police and a 16-year-old boy was taken into custody on the night of the shooting in connection with an unrelated offense.

Prosecutors are charging the juveniles as adults.

Brett Jackson, 17, is accused of shooting Cooper in the hand and abdomen and is charged with battery.

Anthony Spears Jr., 16, is accused of aiding Jackson in the shooting and is charged with accomplice to battery.

Jackson and Spears are in the Benton County Juvenile Detention Center and Harris was in the Benton County Jail on Wednesday.

A fourth suspect, who is a known affiliate of the group, was arrested in connection with terroristic threatening involving Cooper, but unrelated to the shooting.

The shooting is still being investigated, according to the press release.
