Animal shelter adoption, fundraiser event set for Saturday

FAYETTEVILLE -- Residents can adopt a pet for $10, win prizes or shop for gifts at events for the Washington County Animal Shelter this Saturday.

The annual Pet Palooza Adoption Event will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the shelter at 801 Clydesdale Road. A rummage sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. will be part of the event.

Proceeds benefit the shelter, according to online news releases.

The event will include a bouncy house for children, free food and door prizes. Veterans can adopt a pet for free, according to news releases. For more information, call the shelter at 695-3450.
