Walgreens robbed, Bella Vista police investigating

BELLA VISTA -- Police responded to a report at 10:08 a.m. Monday of a robbery at Walgreens on the intersection of Bella Vista Way and Benton County 40.

Police searched the area but were unable to find the robber, who was believed to be a man in his mid-50s wearing a red, white and blue plaid shirt, blue jeans and a camouflage hat with "Army" printed on it and obscuring his face with a hospital mask.

According to the dispatch log, the man came to the pharmacy and gave a handwritten note that said "no phones no alarms asking for 3 bottles of oxy."

Employees didn't know if the individual was armed and gave him the bottles.

Police urged residents not to approach the individual and have requested anyone with information call the Bella Vista Police Department at (479) 855-3771.
